About Me

Many people have asked me how and why I chose Home Staging as a profession and how long I have been doing it. The answer to that questions is: I have been doing this "ALL OF MY LIFE". I use to call my parents GIPSY'S but in actual fact they were so far before the times. My parents were HOME FLIPPERS and my mother a HOME STAGER. By the time I was 13 years old, I had lived in 11 different homes. My parents would purchase properties that needed renovating, move our family into these homes, all 7 of us and my father would renovate the homes while we lived in them. After the renovations were completed my mother would prepare the homes for sale. (She was Staging the homes to show at their best). We became trained children and knew the importance of keeping the home neat and tidy at all times and if remained in that condition, the home would sell quickly and we could go back to living a normal life in a short time. I was always very intrigued with both the renovations and the staging aspects that I always offered my assistance to both my father and mother. So you see, it was an easy choice for me. I started my business before Home Staging Courses were available in Canada but I had already had many years of hands on training throughout my life, much more training than any course could ever offer. I can also sympathize with families and how difficult it is to live in a home that is up for sale, allowing me to make suggestions to the home owner that are practical and innovative solutions.

Not only have I inherited my mothers great sense of style, that helped me choose my profession as an Interior Decorator, it also helped me to easily transition into Home Staging and you're not going to believe this but as a "Hobby", I am now purchasing homes to renovate, stage and sell. Only different thing from my parents is, I don't move my family into these homes. I am certain that my children are very thankful for that.
